ACME has offices located in Nairobi along 04 Crossway Road, Off Westland Road at Bekim House 1st Floor Suite 1B; ACK Building and at the former CDF offices in Kakuma Town in Turkana County. Our major mandate is to contribute towards community development through professional input and incorporation of community driven processes in Turkana, Bungoma, Busia and Nairobi Counties of Kenya.
Our approach is premised on linking our clients to various socio-economic and financing opportunities that exist locally but are not accessed by communities due to either ignorance or lack of exposure. Some of them include Women Enterprise Fund, Youth Enterprise Fund, Biashara Fund, Equity and Kenya Commercial Bank Business Loans etc. In peace building, we introduce our clients to the concepts of cross border trade and of 8 pillars of positive peace that are also premised on linking them to available economic opportunities as a means of promoting durable peace.
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
Make human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable; take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts; Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all; Achieve food security, improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages; Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all; Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
We engage and support refugee and host communities in provision of environmental conservation products and services. This includes links to production and use of echo-friendly products such as mini grids, modern cooking stoves and solar energy as an efficient approach for conserving the environment.
Acme, a development organization in Kenya’s Turkana County, collaborates with the Agency for Cross Border Peace and Development to strengthen civil society, promote resource management, and build resilience across borders. Their projects, including USAID-funded initiatives and their own endeavors, address issues like policymaking participation, social cohesion, and climate change, ultimately aiming to empower communities and foster peaceful coexistence in the region.
